I have lost another 5.5 pounds

I have lost another 5.5 pounds in the last week, bringing the total to 8.5 pounds in two weeks. And the great thing is, I hardly notice that I am 'on a diet'. Perhaps it's because for once I'm not 'on a 'diet' (I don't weigh food or count calories) but simply a decision to spend the month of March avoiding four food groups:
  • wheat
  • dairy
  • alcohol
  • sugar
The fun part is that I seem to concentrate instead on all I can have instead in unlimited quantities:
  • fruit
  • vegetables
  • meat
  • fish
Shopping now takes half the time: go to shop, stock up on the four items above, pay.

Putting meals together is now as easy as: open fridge, find stuff I like, stir-fry. Double up portions and the next day's lunch is ready to take to work with hardly any extra effort.

Fancy a snack? Huge bowl of fresh fruit on kitchen counter.

The weight I have shed speaks for itself. I know I won't be able to lose 8.5 pounds in the next two weeks, so I'm aiming at another 5.5 instead so that I'll have lost a stone in one month by April 1st. Which, incidentally, is the date I am going to visit Stuart's parents and will probably put all the weight back on in a weekend!
